Harvest Scenery ll

In November 2007, Heng Artland held a major exhibition in Cultural Centre of Soka Gakkai Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur for Artist Xu Zhiguang. For the occasion, they published an art album entitled "One With Nature", featuring oil paintings of the "Apple Tree Series", canvas depicting scenes in Xinjiang, Tibetan Region and Southern China as well as still life of flower. Most of the paintings were collected.

In an interval of two years, in January 2011, Heng Artland organized the second major exhibition by Xu Zhiguang, this time, held at the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) with the assistance of various institutions and distinguished persons. During this exhibition, an art album entitled "Harvest Scenery" was launched. This art album covers his huge oil paintings of the Apple Tree Series, Peach Blossom Series, Magnolia and the Autumn Woods, as well as his landscape paintings depicting scenes in Russia, China, Singapore and Malaysia, and his still life. One-third of the paintings were collected.

Two years have since passed and in December 2012, Heng Artland is staging the third major exhibition for Xu Zhiguang at ION Art Gallery Singapore, "Harvest Scenery II - Oil Paintings by Xu Zhiguang", with the launch of his third art album of the same name. It contains oil paintings of the Apple Tree Series, the Peach Blossom Series, landscape paintings of various places as well as his still life.

The total number of the paintings includes in the three art albums is about 240 pieces. This is a stunning accomplishment of Xu Zhiguang over the past ten years, spanning from the "Apple Tree Series.Slant Sun" created in 2002 and collected by National Art Museum of China (NAMOC), and the latest "Peach Blossom Series.Spring Water" created in 2012, which will be featured in this exhibition. This exhibition will also showcase 30 of his works created over the past 10 years.
