Meditation in Motion
by Dahlia Gallery
Location: Dahlia Gallery
Artist(s): Sagarika SEN, Maya SOHONIE, Kalidass JAYARAMAN, Joyotee Ray CHAUDHURY
Date: 20 Apr - 30 Apr 2011

This Summer, Dahlia Gallery is proud to present Meditation in Motion, showcasing the works of fours artists, namely Sagarika Sen, Maya Sohonie, Kalidass Jayaraman and Joyotee  Ray Chaudhury. Each of the artists had a few solo and group exhibits behind them.

Meditation in Motion is a celebration of their own spiritual quests represented with mediums and styles unique to them. “Calming” is the word that comes to mind to describe this exhibition, as the artists soul searching is an embarkation of an absolute soothing inward journey which forces one to think beyond the daily grind of life.   Their varied backgrounds bring a unique flavor to each of their work yet the common thing that binds them is their spiritual quest. It’s a marriage of ideas sown together with colorful sensibilities with their own experiences woven on to the canvas. The solace one shall take back from this collection is a personal experience worth cherishing.
