Kuen Stephanie feature a delightful opulence heydays of the Peranakan Culture. Each of the painting is imbued with a simple tale of the Peranakan - Nyonya women folks on what they do and taught to practice such as the making of, "kasut manek," as part of their dowry, embroidery handyworks. Little remains of this unique culture that flourished in the early days except for the Nyonya cuisine. Kuen Stephanie hope that thru this exhibition everyone can enjoy art appreciation and at the same time on the nyonya culture.
