Dude (Dewa Geda Oka) was born in Ubud, Bali in 1977. There are many influences to his creative process – religion, tradition, fantasy, technology and hope. He had been a member of Sanggar Dewata Indonesia artist group exhibitions in Yogyakarta, Solo (Surakarta). He was selected as a finalist in the Phillip Morris Competition in 1997,1998 and 1999. He received awards for best Sketch and Painting from the department of Fine Arts at ISI as well as the Best Artwork for ISI Anniversary Exhibition.
