WU Ming Zhong biography | artworks | events

Wu Mingzhong, an oil painter in Beijing, is a newly discovered contemporary realist, whose paintings accedes and continues the tradition of popular art and French neo-realism, using a new realism language to arise the whole progress.

The whole production presents a red tonality, firstly offering a visual bursting force. And polity goblets is his persistent working subject, it is a success of mediation between collision or wiliness and wise in the back of power.
History is impressing in the art language, or no one in the baronial scene, or only two scattered men on the big background, and the politic leaders standing high above the masses are also recombined in the picture supportively by the artist, reflecting his distrust to polity, and which is the irony to the antinomy of this society.

The true-life objects are like glasses. The images of characters are interlaced in picture with symbolized language. The impression makes the statements safe, but at the same time very fragile.
