ONCE in a land not too far from here, there was a little town that was covered by the different colours of the pantone. The townspeople thrived on art and had a penchant for colours, and they were indeed the happiest of folk.

However one fine day, the land was hit by a giant tornado which robbed the land of its spectrum of colours; leaving nothing but trace amounts of what was.

The town was devastated.

“We must fix this,” advised the Mayor, Mr V to the council. “Our townspeople are not happy and the land is rid of art and of colours. We must put a stop to this.”

“But how do we do this?” said the council.

“There is a nearby land, an island with a volcano ready to burst with great deals of colours. So much colours that we will never run out. However, it is closely guarded by the locals. Em’s, they called them.” said Mr V. “If we offered them some of our best artists and their work, we might be able to get some help from them.”

“They do too, enjoy a good story or two,” added a council member.

For some time, there was much commotion among the council members.

Timely enough, overhearing this was ten of the town’s best artists. From the crowd, they stepped up to the plate.

“Let us prove to them the power of our talents,” they said, “Though we have not the colours that are enough, we can do something good.”

Thus, with plenty of well wishes and good luck charms handed over from the crowd, the artists embarked on their journey to save the town.

Fighting endless amounts of insomnia and mind-blocks with the town’s premium coffee ‘tcc’s Premium’, and gearing up with ‘Beef Steak on Crispy Puff Pastry’ for energy boosting and ‘Chestnut Fairytale’ for the source of high protein; the artists worked with what little they had – black, white and whatever traces of colour that were left after the tornado and a large canvas to document their journey.

Will they make it? Will they succeed? Will they be able to convince the Em’s that they are worthy of their attention and ultimately, help restore and grow their town?
