HELLO! I am the brightest artist now
by tcc - The Connoisseur Concerto
Location: tcc -The Connoisseur Concerto "The Gallery" 51 Circular Road
Date: 11 Feb - 2 Apr 2012

I’ve got so much to say and sometimes I can’t find the words to express what I really think. But give me a chance and I’ll show you. Because I may be shorter than you, have less experience in the world, but my imagination is far bigger. I want to know how, why, and why not. I’ll know when you try to bluff me because I’m pretty smart. Don’t believe me? Just give me a piece of paper and I’ll show you 1000 ideas in every colour of the rainbow that you have never dreamed of...

tcc - The Connoisseur Concerto, the leading purveyor of gourmet coffees in Singapore, and art-management.com, think our kids have plenty to say if we would give them a chance. They are pleased to announce an exciting kid’s charity art exhibition entitled ‘HELLO!!! I AM The brightest artist now’

Instead of working with adult artists this time round, tcc and art-management.com are delighted  to work with more than 80 children aged 6-12 years old of different nationalities living in Singapore, giving them the fun opportunity to create their own art. The art pieces by these talented children, who are already receiving regular coaching from artists and professional art teachers, will be used to support a Singapore children’s charity.

Kids love to express their likes and dislikes and so what better theme to inspire young minds than “My Favourite…” Using a range of mixed media including oil painting, photography, collage, sketches, and their own hands, these talented kids will let us catch a glimpse into the mind of the next generation of creative sparks. Much will be revealed within this exhibition theme: Which favourite thing do they select, is it a family member, toy, food, vacation spot, or an emotion? How much more can they express their feelings and ideas other than words? How do they look at the world differently from us when we were kids? How kids from different cultures express themselves? And what can we learn from the kids? Their favourites or feelings which they might not have an opportunity to express or share?

To know what’s behind the kids mind? There is only one way to find out! Come down to tcc - The Connoisseur Concerto’s “The Gallery” where the kids’ A4 portrait artwork will be exhibited. Priced at only S$199.00 for each talented piece, all the proceeds from each sale will go to a Singapore children’s charity. In this way, our children can inspire us and support kids less fortunate than themselves.

So don’t miss this opportunity to see what happens when children are given the chance to explore their imaginations and feelings through art. Members of the art and charity supporter are invited to visit the exhibition from Saturday, 11 February till Monday, 2 April 2012.

tcc - The Connoisseur Concerto is widely recognized as a strong national supporter of the arts and actively encourages young people to engage in creative practices. And now the family’s favourite coffee place is their favourite art space too. “The Gallery” is a friendly easy to access space in the heart of the city, designed to encourage crazy thoughts and creativity, while letting people enjoy art when spending time with their friends and family.
