Landscape is traditionally the oldest subject of art. For artists throughout the world, the beauty of nature was a fount of limitless inspiration, as well as a constant object of interest in newly transformed landscape by urbanization and industrialization. Landscape is referred as scene or circumstance, besides the dictionary definition of nature or region such as mountain, field, river, or ocean, etc. Here, the meaning carries not only the subject of sight, but also the viewer’s state of mind. However because of the limitation on inspiration that the scenery depicts, the artists today start exploring landscape in their own new way. CAIS Gallery will present exhibition introducing 7 artists of painting and photograph in search of novelty within a wide scope of landscape such as nature and artificiality, reality and imagination, etc. Each work describes here, the present moment we’re living in or a matter of interest reflected in their eyes. In what form will the landscape approach them? Let us now follow their attention and gaze upon the scene together.

Presenting artists: Kang Seo Kyeong, Park Sang Hee, Yoon Jeong Sun, Lee Moon Ho, Lee Sang Won, Lee So Young, Yi Hyuk Jun
