Well-known Canadian artist Pauline Gagnon will be in Hong Kong for the opening of her solo exhibition “Enigmatic Eyes,” presented jointly by Asian Art de Vivre and Fabrik in collaboration with the Asia Contemporary Art Show.
Pauline focuses on larger-than-life portraits with stunningly beautiful wide staring eyes in a frank gaze. But the secrets behind the eyes are not revealed – enigmatic indeed!
The 13 original works on show are mostly mixed-media collages on canvas. The portraits are painted in the flat, one-dimensional style of Japanese prints.
Paulineʼs work appears in the collections of many private individuals worldwide, as well as the corporate collections of Air Canada, Banque Royale du Canada, Bombardier Transport, Chubb Insurance, IBM Canada, Pennsylvania State University and the Wharton Business School in New York.
