Art Seasons Gallery is pleased to present ‘Trifles’, a solo exhibition by Shi Mohan. The Artist explores her imagination in a whimsical manner, approaching daily trivial matters in life with curiosity, innocence, retrospective and desire. By doing so, the Artist creates a perception of her “real world”, void of the cold and cruel reality.
In “Mengmeng, Baby Bear and The Secret Garden”, Mengmeng holds on tightly to her bear, as if seeking solace away from the sharp thorns of the red rose bush. When facing harsh and painful reality that could potentially inflict injuries, the subject takes a naìˆve approach into an unknown and warm haven free from consequences.
Shi Mohan (b. 1983) was born in Shenyang, China and graduated from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts.
