Myanmar Fine Art International presents “Reconstruction” – A Tribute to Tin Tun Hlaing (1969 – 2009) at ART SEASONS. In his short 20-year artistic career, Tin created less than 500 artworks. This solo exhibition will showcase 13 of his works from the last ten years of his life.
Known for his photo-realistic style in oil and acrylic on canvas, and his depiction of Myanmar temples, ubiquitous monks, nuns in their white or crimson robes , and women with their children living in the countryside, Tin Tun Hlaing , and Min Wae Aung are considered as two Myanmar photo-realistic style masters. Tin’s works express Myanmar culture, Buddhism, and daily life scene in his homeland.
Born in Nyaung Lay Bin, Myanmar in 1969, Tin Tun Hlaing started to paint at the age of 11. After two years, artist U Than Win, who lived in the same town, became his first art teacher. In 1985, Tin won the second prize and 2 consolation prizes in the country's anti-Drugs Art Competition. Tin Tun Hlaing graduated from the State School of Fine Art in Yangon in 1990, and had been working and living in Yangon for most of his life. Passed away 4 years ago, Tin Tun Hlaing has been considered as one of the most talented artists of the new generation of Myanmar artists, whose artworks had been exhibited and collected around the world.
