As the first solo exhibition at Art Seasons new gallery at Pomo, “Ordinary People” by Korean artist Seong Tae Jin will be held at the gallery from Feb 2nd – Feb 19th, 2012.

The popular social consensus invoked by memories of childhood with Taekwon V (the robot character from a popular TV cartoon series 'Robot Taekwon V' in the 1970s) is combined with cartoon's extreme flatness and narrative structure in which both text and image coexist. Using this method, Seong Tae Jin has started to tell a story of a jobless young man from the Taekwon V generation, who has lost his dreams of the hero in our current society.

Seong Tae Jin graduated from Chugye University of Art in 2004 (B.F.A.), and gained his M.F.A. in Printmaking at Hong-Ik University in 2007. His work has been exhibited in Seoul, Singapore, Ulsan, Finland, Ansan, Paju, Gwangju, and Daegu.
