Gallery Factory is pleased to open Soonyoung Kwon's third solo exhibition. The exhibition consists of painting, drawing, and sculpture. She has showed black ink painting but this time she uses various mediums.
The title is from the movie 'The Milk of Sorrow' by Claudia Llosa. Like main actress in the movie, the artist borrowed this name as minority in a society, who suffers from male violence and a metaphorical meaning of woman and children's life.
The artist talks about violence and victim, but focuses on sympathy and condolences for minority's hurt and pain rather than exposing a reality of social system. 'Orphan's Christmas 2' is a scenery of tragedy described from the botoom of the heart. With soft and beautiful colors, brutal and violent scenes are described.
The exhibition will give a chance to look back what proving and sharing others' pains in the reality could have meaning.
