Gallery Factory is pleased to announce plants-themed exhibition, 'Flora Society.' Focusing on works actively using physical existence of 'plants' or revealing ecological property of it, the exhibition introduces contemporary artists who concern about sourceful attributes or ecological meaning of plants, a connecting point between plants and daily life, and human society. 

As problematic issues, such as a change of natural environment, the destruction of the eco system, machine civilization and high level of individualism, in the contemporary society, even culture and arts fields have continuously discussed about it, and at the same time, it is true that many artists, designers and architects reflect organic form of life and self sustainable property on their works. With the keywords, 'creating and extinction,' 'repetition and evolution,' 'life,' 'time (momentariness, permanence, circulation)', and 'ecological attitude,' as focusing on elements 'plants' in the eco system, the exhibition will approach to the theme through artworks and various programs. 5 artists or team will be participating with new works based on research or developed existing works in terms of the theme and the space.
