Gallery EM will hold the new exhibition 'Edge of White II' by Ban Di Lee from 4 to 24 August. Ban Di Lee has been thinking of ways to harmonize crafts elements with a flow of time and this exploration creates sensitive and thoughtful form of works. Usually, she uses white clay which gives a feeling of neatness and lucidity. To prevent it, she works very carefully in the calculated environment. Unlike traditional technique, the contemporary potter is made by mixed materials and skills including artist's mind. Thus, light reflecting and formativeness of shadows look like various changes and individualities in the modern society. As the title 'Edge of White II', White color has a feeling of pureness but can be changed in terms of surrounding atmosphere. Her white porcelain contains both traditional and contemporary factors sophisticatedly with her wish that living our lives genuinely like white clay.
