PKM Gallery is pleased to announce the solo exhibition of Donghee Koo, one of compelling contemporary artists. For this exhibition, the artists involves the audience in a crossing process of senses, such as visual and auditory, using everyday objets, and shows the installation explaining it in a concept of amusement.
After studying at Yale University, Donghee Koo started making his own name with single channel video work since early 2000s, and has expanded his field to photograph, sculpture and installation. Also, she ran the solo exhibitions at Atelier Hermes, Arari Gallery and Doosan Gallery, and won Doosan Yonkang Arts Awards in 2010 and Hermes Foundation Art Award in 2012. Above this, she has held the group exhibition at the world's prominent art establishments, like Samsung Plataeu, Seoul Museum of Art, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, Nam June Paik Art Center, and Centre Pompidou Paris, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo in Italy, and Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art in Korea have a collection of her works.
