Artist(s): Ji Sun SUH
Date: 18 Apr - 15 May 2013

Young Artist, Ji Sun Suh, has received great attention with her art work expressing city people. In her works, there are various landscapes at the cafe, bar, or fastfood restaurants described by the artist on a scene.

Unlike previous works, her new works give a feeling of solitude and loneliness. It would be common emotion the contemporary consumer society gives and this feeling becomes doubling as contrasting with vivid colours. Emotion in her new paintings is a result of her research in depth for strangers or surrounding people's attitude and inner minds.

Her works with sensuous composition and high quality have gained popularity, and new works consist of segmented colour planes in mild pastel shades more densely. Her skilled brush stroke made a clean and mechanical side like silk screen, which needs more efforts and time. During the exhibition, new 14 works in 2012 to 2013 will be showed.
