With the title 'Illusion, a meaning of a space with memory and trace', the artist shows new photo, video and installation works of the Façade Project carried out since the solo exhibition in 2011. The exhibition consists of three parts; The first is 'Façade Project', installation of Korean heritage, 'Memories and Traces', discovering personal and family memory and time in the redevelopment site, and last one is the new video work, realization of 4K UHD for the first time in the world.
In 'Façade Project', distorted or fictional space is a record of existing space, and he photographed as finding the most appropriate time to express a feeling of light and the air. Works were made of ultra definition photo or 4K imaging media but created with analog sensibility. As taking photos after installing a screen fence in front of heritage, his major series 'Façade Project' has a deeper meaning. Also, new works of redeveloping buildings will be exhibited to make people think of 'memory and trace' and 'a mening of a space' as an extension of the series. In addition, video and installation works well explain an original question and form of photograph, which are 'a conceptual meaning of a space' and 'original and reproduction'.
His arcane and unique colours of photo and video were created at dawn or sunset, which is called 'Magic Hour' or 'the time between dog and wolf' in French (I'houre entre chien et loup). As mixing the real and fake lighting, the real and virtual images are tangled without any boundary.
