While bubble reflected a silhouette image of a person and a window in the glare at the previous works, bubble in 'Undecided'(2010) was changed into introvert form recollecting an agonizing memory. Now an image of 'extinction' becomes 'loss' to the artist. As the image of bloodstain in 'fragments'(2010) saying, bubble started talking about 'loss' and a memory of the moment bluntly. It shows a complicated emotion, like suffering, emptiness and obsession.

The interesting point in his work is that colorful lego blocks unexpectedly show up in the same scene. To express easily built and disappeared 'today and city', the artist chose the toy blocks. Art Works after 2012 for this exhibition present how the artist has been changing his perspective for 'loss' as reflecting 'amusement' on painting. Also, use of rainbow colors is effective 'camouflage'. Lilting toy blocks in rainbow color with sparkling bubble is a device to emphasize the 'uncertainty' toy blocks have and to conceal and forget about its attribute. Paradoxically, life can be more meaningful and colorful as the transience and extinction disappeared. 'Newness' created through embracing 'loss' as a part of life is a word the artist hid behind rainbow colors.

Bubble in my work is a sort of the own language which is changed from 'extinction' into 'loss' and 'amusement.' Bubble has appeared on his painting since 'accident landscape' in 2008. An image of a form of sponge tissue has transformed into lucid images of ancient animals and plants and vivid colors in this series. Finally, these shapes turned into shining bubble. Creation and extinction of bubble is an encounter between oblivion as blurred memory and my conciousness and an explosively extended time at this moment.
