A telephone pole is one of disappearing landscapes in the city. The artist talks about the world through it, which cannot move like street trees.
Images of the city in her works are expressed without any color like a negative photo or very vivid. The sky on shimmering cityscape is unrealistically falt or blurred like time between dog and wolf. This ambiguous boundary can make the familiar world unfamiliar. The artist felt 'close relationship' between people in the city through tangled wires. Those wired tell one's identity communicating with others and living in the world. The new exhibition 'Co-Existence' is started from how I see my daily life and how a fragment of it can be reconstituted in my colour. I like to take my memories out and change them into strange thing through colours. And it makes another sense of the world I controlled. The world would be another illusion, and where strangers, city and communication coexist together. - Mi Jung JUNG
