North Light is a group exhibition by Gerhard Bartsch, Jan Köchermann, Eunnim Ro, and Gerd Tinglum.
As comparing blue light in Norway, Gerd Tinglum's homeland, to their creative intuition, each artist's view of art will be illuminated. Also, these artists will join an installation project with selected children to support their talents and give an opportunity for an exhibition.
Eunnim Ro's art world is a mix of Western avant-garde idea and Korean tradition, and it is revealed as unique expression and Oriental taste. Her work basically expresses figure of speech in an intuitive story and covers the Creation, Korean myth, four seasons, etc. In the exhibition, mobile installation will show such creative sense.
Gerhard Bartsch has studied on art and design history. His art world is drawing itself based on Western history and philosophy, and he wants to express his aesthetic exploration as formative language, rather than lengthy text. As showing limited drawing without coloring or illustrating, he contains his creative view for drawing as a form of arts.
Jan Köchermann is a student of Eunnim Ro and her husband Gerhard Bartsch as well as well-known installation artist. Art work in the new exhibition, ‘Kinderzimmer – Schacht – Baumhaus' and other miniature installations raise a question for explicit beauty of a familiar city.
Nature in Gerd Tinglum's homeland made her create beautiful color and became a basis of her creative intuition. With a mix of Oriental spirit and German philosophy, her works 'About Change' and 'About listening' will be on view.
