Gallery Imazoo is pleased to open a solo exhibition by So Lim Cha. After 6 solo exhibitions, Cha has received a great attention with advancing works, and her work has been collected by the Art Bank of National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea in 2013. Rather than a fixed object or an image itself, showing a psychological approach based on an inquiring mind to something beyond a surface manifestation, the artist uses various materials like oil, acrylic, silk screen and sticker, and techniques to show unique work process regardless of convention. In this exhibition, she will show more progressed works in terms of the concept and composition. 

The artist shows a relationship between the outer world and ego, or consciousness and unconsciousness through her paintings in the exhibition, which can be called analytic psychology. When composing a picture, she creates an esthetic space and arranges people, who are she accidentally met on a journey and herself. Also, there is a mix of many spaces, which creates a surrealistic world beyond time and space. Through such visual and perceptual device, she expresses the unconscious world. The space in the painting is real and virtual at the same time, connecting the space with people is because the artist tries to take a contemplative view on her inner mind in a society, and catch a flow of consciousness delicately. Through the process of work, the artist looks at a completed person interconnecting with everything.
