Gallery IMAZOO will exhibit German artists participating KIAF(Korea International Art Fair).
Jochen Schambeck, Gerhard Sauter, Johannes Gervé, and Regina Draschl are represent artists from Gallery Artpark, Germany, and they have well-known as participating KIAF last year. Mostly artists are forgotten after art fair, but as they exhibit artworks at the gallery Imazoo again, it'll be a chance to introduce the art trend in other countries.
Germany is the one of countries leading contemporary art, and now art in Germany pursues individuality rather than expressionism. The 4 artists in this time are conservative but tend to progressive works which reveal their own characters.
Gerhard Sauter has researched 'Informel', focusing on lyricism, colours and connecting to expressionistic abstract art, and he made successful debut in Cologne Art Fair via gallery Schmücking. He is expected to develop and enrich the German painting constantly.
Based on Informel, Jochen Schambeck shows his identity in painting with colour sensation and a property of oil painting. He has participated in major art fairs such as New York and Basel, and showed splendid but grave expressionism.
Johannes Gervé expresses a romantic side of expressionism and impressionism through landscape or still-life painting. One critic said 'Johannes paints landscape or objects as his creativity and imagination with own colour and touching. This is a different view with traditional paintings in Europe but his character.'
Regina Draschl is the only women artist in this exhibition, and she shows unique works which combining the modern photography technique and painting.
