The subject of the exhibition, spatiality, is derived from invisible ‘imaginary’ of physical spaces. The ‘imaginary’ doesn’t arise only from materials or structures of physical spaces but also from invisible elements such as memory. Through each individual’s ways of perception, a same space can be extended to that of different dimensions. This process draws the landscape where reside memory, time and imagination.
The exhibition focuses on the artists working on site-specific projects. They intervene into various layers of space through revealing the invisible realm of space instead of building the structure of space itself. The exhibition aims to suggest the meaning of space as a structure of memory and time in multiple dimensions through the artists’ imagination on physical sites. Their interventions will bring about extended emotions connected to memory, scars, dreams and fantasy inherent in both individuals and groups.
