the name PUTTEN for the lost boxonauts has is origin in italy.
the putto (pl. putti) is a figure of a human baby or toddler,
almost always male, often naked and having wings, found especially in italian
renaissance and baroque art.
they are non-literal figures, and later in christian art came to represent the omnipresence of god.
in this exhibition the figures are a symbol for the total absence of any godlike creature.
they are “kawaii”, but helpless, unable to touch anything, isolated and lonesome,
not able to help, to fix...
