France-based Korean artist, Il-Hwa Hong's solo exhibition will be held at Gallery Dam. She has consistently drawn a story of woman. The artist raises a matter of customary aesthetic consciousness in a society, and asks where the real beauty is through a face of woman addicted to a plastic surgery and makeup. With heavy makeup, resolute existence of woman despite of run down paints or a person setting a dead body of sea animal by contaminant on the head infer extinction of true self.
The exhibition will introduce 15 new works.
