Gallery Dam is pleased to present a group exhibition by Sinzow, Eunmi Lee, Min Wook Jin, and Toshimatsu Kuremoto, who have held the exhibition at the gallery last year.
Working under the theme 'The land of the dead2,' Sinzow says that our life can be like death. In this exhibition, he shows portraits of Korean friends with fast brush stroke to express their faces lively.
Eunmi Lee's series 'There it is' focuses on small things and their places. Wall, stair and floor frequently showed in the series are familiar but sometimes strange, because these get different forms and colors after passing through the artist's mind.
Oriental painter Min Wook Jin uses traditional ink, and substitute a dog for his emotion. Through odd mixing and arranging animal and nature, he tries to heal inner introspection overcoming experiences like isolation, complex, or self disunion.
Osaka-based artist, Kuremoto Toshimatsu is recently interest in multi-dimensional work. As the exhibition at Gallery Dam in 2011, Kuremoto shows a will to overcome loneliness and pain of contemporary people. The sculpture made of wood and zinc expresses salaryman's suffering.
