Yunhee Huh, who works in Korea and Germany, will have 11th exhibition. In this time, she will show 20 works of drawing by charcoal and acrylic painting. 

Artist's statement

My work is based on my thoughts and emotion from experiences in life. A process of asking for underlying factors and finding an answer is my work itself. 
Who I am, Where am I from, Where longing comes from. Inner loneliness, wandering, dream, love and sorrow, I express my feelings I cannot explain but hidden in my mind as a painting and poem. Through art works, I look back my life and want to find the meaning of it. I use various ways, such as mural, poem, painting, performance, video installation, and etc. I want to communicate with audience through my art works. 

Main medium is a charcoal. The reason why I use it mostly is characteristic of it suits for my aim of the works. Charcoal is the most basic and natural material. It is not fixed, fades away as dust in terms of time. It is delicate. I am interested in its finitude. My thoughts and feelings are expressed delicately. According to the dynamics of power, the one of line is changed, and sometimes charcoal is broken or powdered. Repeating to draw and erase conjures up my memories. I like the process of charcoal drawing.
