Gallery Dam will present the new exhibition 'Big Moment' by Hongzi as the temporary exhibition for rising artist in 2012. Hongzi's artworks are started from weaving thread on canvas. Through a process of winding and undoing threads on a mold of canvas, she finds herself newly. In this exhibition, 15 works, including 'Swirly water', 'Tree of Life', and 'Couple in heaven', will be exhibited. She majored Buddhist art at Dongguk University, Korea, and this is her 3rd solo exhibition.

Artist's statement
Untidy colors on fine thread is remaining materials of action that drawing and erasing dot, shape or figure. Or, it's one scene of unfinished process. Mutating figures in terms of time disassemble , and images on them are changing to unexpected form and being accrued. This work has started from 'a sense of loss' for 'change' , This work and action aggressively provide a sense of loss and it can be a way to research the mechanism as an observer.
