Since the first solo exhibition 1958, he has held about 50 solo exhibitions and 200 group exhibitions in the world, including exhibitions at Tate Modern in London and DNA Gallery in Germany.
From painting to performance, film, or dance, his various technique and works show that the pioneering modernist accumulating concept and style of contemporary art in an unique way and unconventional grounds for new feelings and art.
In this time, Tong-In Gallery exhibits his works in 1970s, the still-life series, and 'Yin and Yang series' after 2000, which are the important times among his works. The exhibition focuses on looking back how he tried to understand the period, and to express the central idea and constant characteristics embracing different tendency and genre.
