In terms of the change of visual art, last ten years of 20th century was a place for experiment of all scientific technologies. Fine art, such as painting or sculpture, in early 20th has changed and developed as various genre through scientific development.
As science joined the art, it resulted variety forms of visual art. However, various immaterial experiments represented by media art gave a lesson that it can't give up a property of matter ironically. Again, digital media technology should be treated as one of mediums, not a tool.
Through combining digital technology with materials of traditional art, this exhibition will show the artists who try to accept a new way for these artistic expressions. Also, characteristics of visual art for last 20 years and the convergence of technology and art can be found in their art works.
