A Young-Soo Pak perspective will show at the Gwangju Museum of Art. He is 'a living witness of Korean art' after liberation and has worked in Europe after 1977. He is well-known through one of famous paintings 'Mother and son'. Their faces towards the sky show purity beyond the reality through communication with heaven. Indigenous and lyrical objects in his painting evoke longing and nostalgia, and soft and thoughtful colours make his painting more peaceful and warm. Simplified and implicative scene of Pak's family is a message of real meaning for love, peace, and happiness.
