Trunk Gallery is please to announce the new exhibition 'Grace' by Debbie Han. Her new work 'Social Graces' is the last one of 'Graces' series for last 7 years.
Debbie Han tries to dissolve the Korea culture for a women's body, and a beauty ideology desiring a statue of women in Western country. She creates a hybrid visual image from dramatical contrast between ideal and reality, the East and the West, and the past and the future. This work is an expression of global network in terms of society, culture, history, politics and aesthetics using a women's body as a metaphor. She uses a digital process but produces the analog image which requires a lot of time.
With the last large-scale photo work, 19 pieces of 'Graces' series are exhibited.
