Ju-Hae Yang uses 'barcode' on daily necessities as an extension of her color spot works. Over 30yeas, color spot work was a creative tool to communicate in overseas. She desires to create new life on canvas though her daily life. Also, she thinks we need to break the existing rule and reform to live this period. So that she tries to re-analyze, change, and disassemble existing things. Recently, she has focused on 'Barcode' series, which is a digital work changed from the spot work. Stephan Henry Horgan's halftone made the digital culture be possible. The power of it is basic to today's image culture. Freedom of digital technique led her to 'barcode' works naturally. Barcode, a sign of group of sticks, recognition code, and developed communication function, has been involved in her work and led her to the right direction.
