KIMJAESUN Gallery is pleased to announce 'The portrait' - and exhibition of works by Russian artist Natalia Popovich. This exhibition is her first solo show in Korea and as the last artist of Russian Contemporary Trilogy. Natalia's painting is characterized as the burning perception of colour, distinctive in proficiency to express its fully saturated and bright range on canvas. It is no mere chance that Natalia's nick-name among friends and numerous admirers is the 'rejoicing artist' for her paintings are real feast of sentiments. her still life and landscapes, which she prefers to paint, are always big in size with bright gamut and rich in shades. However, she likes to paint portraits as well. The models are normally young girls depicted in laconic manner without particular reference to any social medium. In the portraits she moves to the forefront the idea of people in the heyday of youth not burdened with grievances of the older ages. Naturally, the portraits are rich in colours and even motionless characters emit vital energy.
