This is the duo exhibition of Wada Chizu and Hyunsun Jeon, two young artists showing the illusional painting. There is a compound character of animal and a man as a narrator of storytelling in both artists' paintings in common. It shows a critical view as well as the innocence of childhood, and even their worries and conflicts for the life have pureness.
Wada Chizu was educated by herself, and her expression holds a tendency of Japanese animation. Her painting looks like peaceful like animals' picnic but a metaphorical character with evil thought can be found as well. The death angel leading a girl to the other side disguises as a cute animal, but this painting doesn't give a feeling of fear, but shows attachment and encourage for the life.
Unlike Wada's painting, Hyunsun Jeon's one shows a re-enacted character who explains specifically and courteously. Sometimes feminism objects suggest foreshadow, or a form consisting of dots and lines lead a spectacle scene.
Their paintings satisfy a fantasy storytelling as using familiar objects and personified characters. Unlike dreamlike and illusional scene of painting by Wada Chizu, Hyunsun Jeon's one has more realistic and specific expression and plain colours.
