Pyo Gallery is delightful to present the solo exhibition of Seung Hoon Park. The exhibition on 'Travel Log (Eastern Europe' is about personal appreciation of civilization from a view of traveller, rather than sharp stance. He photographed an object in his dim recollection as visiting the destinations with 16mm film. Thus, he tries to express a link between the target and memory as an image.
'Travel Log', finding a trace and fragment of the past, basically involves warmness for his memory. In his work, buildings and streets of a city are fragmented of image containing a defective form and these are put together like tesserae mosaic. Rhythmical or sometimes dissonant, it finally creates a façade consisting of color with delicately visual and psychological echo, shape and side. Deepen neutral color, various forms of layers and separation, complicated streets like puzzle, and segmented factors still have each existence. Therefore, the process to disassemble and recompose work with allness, his work sways our stable perceptional structure. Also, it makes us think about the basis of the structure.
