Wang Zhijie Solo Exhibition
by PYO Gallery South
Location: PYO Gallery South
Artist(s): WANG Zhijie
Date: 18 Apr - 30 Apr 2013

PYO Gallery South is thrilled to introduce the new exhibition of Wang Zhijie. Wang tells beauty and pleasure, and irrationality and inequality in the world through a girl's eyes.

Wang Zhijie has learnt traditional art since childhood, and character design at animation company for seven years gave the artist inspiration. During work, he created animation characters, such as old person, bear and evil, but the most favorite character was 'girl'. Through feeling and action of the girl in his painting, he expresses understanding of problems young people have and the character creates current phenomenon and issues. The girl is a performer expressing own artistic emotion and telling the artist's story in a different view.

Now, his new way of painting opens up the new possibility to Chinese contemporary art, and his philosophy and art works get great attention from the global art market.
