Pyo South Gallery is delightful to introduce the new exhibition 'Sensibility of the water' by Sang Yoon YOON. His work looks like a peaceful landscape painting, but it actually tells a three-stage life metaphorically. A landscape in a daily life is covered by vivid colours and unique composition. Three-stage work is like a scene of drama. At the bottom of painting, supporting people surround main person standing in the middle, and a stage is filled by a background as an ordinary space. The bottom is subconscious, the middle is spiritual thinking, and the top is independent superego. To express an isolated and independent existence metaphorically, he used bright colours. Spiritual thinking creates a territory for independent individual surrounded by water, which is related to origin of life, or a bike, which has a character of healing. Subconscious is expressed as water to represent an isolated existence. The artist tried to show people who see the world in an independent view.
