Kwanhoon Gallery is pleased to feature paintings by Yoon Jung Choi. Choi has drawn familiar wild animals on canvas in pink through various series and will show more vivid and soft colored painting in her new works.

An elephant comes on her painting all the time. It is a center of her mind and represents her as an existence doing philosophical exploration in nature. The elephant makes the audience import emotion to an ideal place the artist suggests and ask an underlying question about oneself. Coexisting animals mean an empty place of meditation so that the animal kingdom, a specimen of the jungle, is changed into an ideal world through gradation in pastel colors and a circle form of light.
