Ko's works to remind of basic experience create ambiguous work space where can be the inside or the outside. To him, 'the window to see the world' is too imprecise.

The only thing I can be done drastically is a battle against time. A process to postpone decision, so that remained conclusions are included in the process, and I chase the trace in time. For sure, I enjoy that moment. But, undecided factors always make me painful. To me, the work means a battle against time, and to delay the conclusion without revealing until the last.

Kim's works started from carving a huge lump of metal. As changing it to powder, he removes massiveness and aggression a metal has. Being called 'iron dust calligraphy', his works show sadness the artists feels in a daily life and oriental spirit. The changes of iron meets his reflective thinking for the current material civilization.
