With the titel margins I think at the lines between here and there, the borders between inside and outside, between being and not being (which refers again to the definition of the ellipse, please see below). But also the transition from red to golden colour (new small paintings on silk), or from light to heavy (bronze piece – paperwork, Edelweiss – little forest).

It also refers to the relation between east and west not only in the sense that my “western” art is shown in Tokyo but also inside the pieces for example “Edelweiss” painted on silk, an eastern material (actually I bought the silk in Vietnam).

In my work the presence of borders, margins is obvious. In the space of transition so many things become possible. The transitions may change, they are tried out, tested in repetition and in slightly varied types and forms.
