Getting inspiration from a form, concept, meaning and temperature by small units, Mihoko Ogaki creates a new work. Images of a thousand of stars in the sky, a stadium filling with the audience, and a group of cells go through expansion, saturation and contraction and face with a death.
After studying at the school in Düsseldorf, Ogaki has worked in Germany for a long time and directly covered fundamental factors of a person, such as a life and depth, or agedness. Recently, most of works talk about humanity so that she focuses on a lot of emotions as well as materials forming a human body, and recent series is derived from a concept that telling something about a human being is the same as telling the universe.
