Born in Hokkaido in 1987. In 2003, graduated from the Tohoku University of Art & Design Graduate School's Department of Experimental Arts. Major solo exhibitions include "Ohisama Pool" at Enoma, Sendai (2010). Major group exhibitions include: "Wakaten" at AYu:M, Yamagata (2010); "Iwaki Art Triennale 2010," Fukushima; "4 Artists Show" at ShugoArts, Tokyo (2011-2012); and "Phantoms of Asia" at Asian Art Museum, San Francisco (continuing through Sep. 2). Major awards include: Graduation Production Exhibition Grand Prix Award, Tohoku University of Art & Design (2009); NIPPON ART NEXT 2010 Grand Prix Award (2010); and 26th Holbein Scholarship (2011).
