Kiyoshi Kawashima was supported by Asian Cultural Council to move to the United States from 1986 to 88, and she has participated in P.S.1 project. In 1993, Kawashima submitted work to Iwaki City Art Museum, Rome Folklore Museum and Kunsthalle Düsseldorf and Sezon Museum of Modern Art in 2000. Also, in recent years, he has paricipated in the exhibition in Iwaki City Art Museum with Takeshi Tsuchitani and Isamu Wakabayashi, and Contemporary Art Museum, Kumamoto in 2007. Kawashima is currently one of representative sculptors in Japan.
