Ando has worked using an unique process of dyeing with the theme, inner change in terms of daily experience. From the past, Japanese people like to use the expression, 'encountering in a deep mind'. Ando thinks that there is liquid like water consisting of emotion or energy in a body, and liquid changes everyday according to everyday life. To express a feeling, he uses 'organic flying object' and 'horizontal line'. 'Horizontal line' means stable emotion, so that if 'a flying object' removes a line, it presents the unstable feeling. Until now, the flying object removing the line or one in falling or verticality.
In this exhibition 'For the Purpose of Horizontal', the theme is that a status before reaching to 'horizontal line' for a level flight.
