We are pleased to announce that the solo exhibition “wooden sculpture”of Fuyuki Maehara (1962- ) in YOKOI FINE ART will be held as above.
The artworks shown in THE OBUSE MUSEUM & THE NAKAIJMA CHINAMI GALLERY in Nagano last year and the long-awaited latest artworks compose this exhibition.
It must be a good opportunity for both who went to the exhibition in Obuse and missed it to rediscover his unique world.
We are looking forward to your coming.
“Things; they decay as time goes by” is one of the keywords of Maehara’sartworks. He has embodied this theme in ichiboku (one wood) in his career.
The objects he carved out from ichiboku and painted are very minute and fascinate the audience.
