Why did it become such an image?  Asuka Hirata is asking herself on the process of forming an image that goes up in her mind and.  Her working is like making the tale.  The impression will change by the state of the mind, even if you see the same thing.  She painted the shape that was made by unconsciousness.  It seems that to tell a dream for someone by words.  Her works were formed not only image but also her condition, situation and social occurrence.

Hirata’s world is primitive and initiative because she was influenced by other culture and other sense of value through the working in various countries, for instance Mexico, Kenya and Spain etc.  We can feel the positive energy from her works was given by a lot of meetings.  She often paints the amalgamation of nature and human on her paintings.  She commented herself that “I always work while thinking that nature and human is circulate and consist” therefore nature has long since become an integral part of her works.  On “Waking of woods”, Hirata draw the prayer in life.  She considered that humans have coexisted with nature from ancient times, and then she is wondering that where has those days' minds gone.  She paints its question into her works, so it will give us the impression of fantastic and suggestive.  Asuka Hirata’s world is formed with images, modern society and nature.
