Daido Moriyama is a world-famous photograph as well as a representing artist in Japan. With rough touch and use of hand's shaking, his expression has left impact on photography in 1960s. The world based on unique aspect and strong contrast makes a real scene arousing strange unreality. It could be utopia, nostalgic world or a film left an uncomfortable feeling after. Such scenery is left as an afterimage in mind.
In this exhibition, 60 photos of a series 'Monochrome' taken from 2008 to 2012, an approach to contemporary Tokyo, are on display. Familiar scenes existing in Tokyo give a feeling of witness to the audience.
