Wada Garou presents 2 solo exhibitions in 'Impression du Maroc' as a project for finding a part of images on the 'Land of the Setting Sun' from 2 different aspects: Deborah Benzaquen 'La Desenchantee' and Flore 'une femme francaise en Orient'.
In 'La Desenchantee' series, Deborah, highly regarded self-taught Moroccan photographer, captures a macabre slaughterhouse in Casablance with acquitting of its memories. Several homages can be seen throughtout this series: to a 'holy place' as a border between living and dead, and to the memory of her mother.
This empty, deserted and dusky sites remind us the exquisite fragility of life which is also translated into insignificant accessories, such as bird's body, artificial flowers, tiny doll or dress filled with breeze.
